Hello my name is John Dawes. I am the proprietor of Dawes Driving School and I have been teaching in the Bexleyheath and surrounding areas for over 20 years.

My aim is to teach you to drive to a high standard in the shortest time possible.

I will supply you with a complete set of driving notes to help you through your course which will cover the basics and through to your driving test and beyond. These are free of charge.

My lessons are a full hour and are door to door. I do not piggy back. (someone in the back watching you drive).

My training vehicle is the new Ford Fiesta Style with power steering and air conditioning and is replaced every 7 months.

After you pass your driving test you can take further training on the

Pass Plus Scheme. This is normally a further 6 hours training covering motorway driving - night driving - all weather driving - rural roads - town driving and duel carriageways. Though you will not have to take another driving test you will have to show your instructor that after your training you have achieved the required standard. You will then receive a certificate from the Pass Plus Board and may be eligible for a discount on your car insurance.
